ARTWIFE Magazine is a literary arts journal created by Hannah and Erica Harlee.

We publish essays, short stories, visual art, and video art.

ARTWIFE exists to serve as an oasis of beauty, art, and human expression. Rather than maintain the distance and cold remove embedded in the operations of many lit mags, we actively work to forge connection and cultivate relationships with our readers, submitters, and contributors through avenues like our Contributor Spotlight podcast episodes, our Community Announcements, and our weekly Creative Hour.

ARTWIFE believes that a magazine's digital platform deserves attention and care, and that design and presentation are not secondary to the vision. Rather, we believe that beauty and artistry can and should be embedded in every part of the project.

A note: Generative AI is only possible because it steals and plagiarizes work created by humans. We do not use it—ever. We affirm the value of human creativity; we affirm the value of the creative process which is necessarily full of friction, depth, rigor, and uncertainty, and which only bears worthwhile fruit as a result of human effort, sometimes pleasant and other times not. Join us as we resist voluntarily surrendering the greatest gifts of personhood to extractive machines and oligarchs.
